Skin Cancer? Get Checked Out!!!

This is the time of year when I discovered that I had a precancerous mole and you'll never guess where- YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS!!!

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK EVERY INCH OF YOUR BODY FOR UNEVEN AND RAISED MOLES AND SPOTS and have your doctor look over your whole body too! I mean it! If you are afraid to go get checked because you think it's embarrassing, know that your doctor has seen THOUSANDS of bodies…just do it!

After a thorough examination last year, my doctor found an atypical spot which I had removed from a place I know the sun has NEVER hit (within my left booty cheek).

SO, just because the SUN hasn't hit a certain area of your body DOES NOT MEAN that you can't have a cancerous spot in those places which I'm sure you have heard before BUT here's your reminder. So, please, if you haven't been checked, please do so ASAP. It could save your life! ❤

How to check yourself and WHAT to look for!

Raising T1D Awareness!

The Diabetic Journey posted something last year that I just HAD to share in hopes of raising more awareness to #Type1Diabetes! I will continue sharing because I know new eyes will see it each time I do.

I still say that type 1 Diabetes should have a different name because it is SO often confused with type 2.

I need insulin to survive. It is NOT a cure. Each day presents different struggles and in NO WAY can we make it go away.

"As a Type 1 diabetic, I firmly believe that this is one of the most misunderstood diseases. Of course, we need to give thanks to its image in the media, “diabetes jokes,” lack of education in schools, and many other things.

This is what Type 1 Diabetics would like you to know:

• We didn’t get diabetes from living an unhealthy lifestyle. As a matter of fact, we had absolutely zero control over this and nothing could have prevented it. It's IMPOSSIBLE for you to get Type 1 Diabetes from eating a Big Mac, candy bar, or piece of cake. Type 1 is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the body’s pancreas - this is where insulin is produced.

• Without insulin, you will die. End of story. There's no way around this fact. Everyone needs insulin in order to survive. No matter how healthy we eat or how much we exercise a Type 1 Diabetic will never eliminate the fact that we need to administer insulin.

• Yes, we can eat sugar! If our blood glucose is "high" or "normal" then we just need to give a little extra insulin. If our blood glucose is "low" then we consume a little extra sugar to raise our levels back to "normal".

• Type 1 loves balance. It's a battle every single day trying to not let our blood glucose go too high or too low. It really is a full-time job. We can't just quit this job. We work hard to stay alive!

• Type 1 makes us feel different, sometimes. Sometimes we have to test our blood glucose at the most inconvenient times. Sometimes we have a really good day then the next we're fighting to level everything out. It's frustrating. Sometimes we get tired of the constant work we have to put into it but we know that we can't give up. Sometimes we feel alone.

• There are different ways to administer insulin. Some use an insulin pump which is a device that looks like a pager. This contains a cartridge of insulin which is delivered into our body through a thin tube and a small IV. Others use insulin pens or syringes. All 3 ways use a needle so as a Type 1 you need to get over the fear of needles, fast.

• There are many challenges Type 1's have to live with but we can do anything a "normal" person can do! Did you know that Nick Jonas has Type 1, Bret Michaels or football player Jay Cutler? Even "Miss America" in 1999 (Nicole Johnson) is Type 1!

• We want you to know the symptoms. Symptoms of Type 1 diabetes include but aren't limited to increased thirst and urination, extreme fatigue, unintended weight loss, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, and fruity breath. You can be diagnosed at any age.

• We want you to ask questions. Instead of staring or assuming things we would prefer you to ask us. The more you know the more comfortable we will be around you. Type 1's like it when someone is truly interested in learning more about their disease.

There is so much more to being a Type 1 then what is portrayed in the media. So before you post a picture of junk food and hash tag it or caption it with something to do with Diabetes think of what it actually means to be a Diabetic."

You Had Me at Wine! Haha! So, what's this new business all about you ask?!

I made a change about 4 months ago and no longer work for Beachbody...I found a NEW opportunity that was WAY too good to pass up and much more FUN! Yes, everyone needs health and fitness…but, not everyone needs ONE specific health and fitness product - I find they like to bounce around to different products to see what works for them. And, most health and fitness companies are very saturated and are sometimes difficult to break into new markets outside of the US because of shipping / supplement approval issues. This company is in its infant stage - my last company had 400k people. This one has less than 30k. 🎉   A business that is FUN. WINE certainly is! Always a convo starter and a great reason to get together with you friends and share your love for wine. <3 ❤️   A business that ties into my PASSION - helping others make a substantial income for their families that can be immediate (based on the work they put into it!) 😰   A business that doesn’t dominate my time and take over my LIFE. I love helping people and I will still help anyone who reaches out to me for free health and fitness advice. But, running challenge groups, free 5 day groups, creating content, creating meal plans every month, and training groups were SO much for me to keep up with and honestly when you are asking someone to buy into their health & fitness, it's a huge scary change. Plus i was emotionally investing in people who didn't want to put in the work. I was craving a more SIMPLE life with something people spend their money on anyway. 💰   A business with a compensation plan that is the best I’ve seen - lucrative immediate bonuses, weekly residual income, sustained long term stability income, and check match. 🏡   A business that ties into almost anything and helping small businesses like hair salons and med spas create business location awareness and give networking opportunities to draw new people to their businesses. 😉   A business with amazing customer service and a 100% satisfaction guarantee (in my last business, customer service was a complete headache!!!)   A business with a simple, user friendly, sophisticated website with easy ordering that can handle company growth and expansion without crashing. 👍  A company that doesn’t compete with its own distributors by selling product on amazon or running FB ads that may target your friends. 📦   A company that keeps all of the inventory and does all of the packing, shipping, and takes care of customer service inquiries FOR me! 👯   DUPLICATABLE - “It’s not what works, it’s what duplicates”. - Eric Worre. In our last company…there were so many elements and it was super hard to duplicate. This company has a simple system that works. I love that!!! Oh, and the product just HAPPENS to be…. 🍷WINE!!!!🍷——>> which most people love (including me in MODERATION), and if they don’t love wine, they know a TON of people who do. 🍷 And, this isn’t just ANY wine.
